Photo Diaries of my Road trips and other Events …
We spent the afternoon at Green Cape lighthouse, watching dozens of whales doing their thing - so beautiful! Pods of seals frolicking amongst the kelp ..
On the drive back too camp we were both buzzing - the beautiful sunset setting at Dales Gorge last night, now sunrise at Hammersley!! Could this day be any better??
A 2 week Photography Road trip to the Ikara-Flinders Ranges and back. Camping at Wilpena Pound allows you to be close to the ‘action’. Stunning scenery almost everywhere you look. Abundant and unique wildlife. Along way to get there for me, but well worth it, covering around 4,000 klms with Betty the Blue Kia, and Tom the Cruiser!
I can see another visit to this special place coming up so I can soak in Spirit of Endurance.

What a fantastic 3 weeks of chasing the weather, the light, and at times our tails, to shoot Waratahs, Pandani, wildflowers amongst others. A few mountains, a sneaky east coast sunrise, crisscrossing Tassie a couple of times, covering around 5,000 klms with Betty the Blue Kia, and Tom the Cruiser!
Many wonderful drives across the midlands and highlands. Many 4am, 5am and today a 3am start. Several sessions ending an hour after sunset before making our way back to the comfort of Tom.
A great adventure shared with Mitch!
And Tom & Betty!
My son Mitch and I have just returned from over 2 weeks exploring a couple of key areas of the South Island.
A Photography Roadtrip in Winter! ❄️☃️❄️
Snow, ice, rain, hikes, forest, sea stacks, canyons, wire bridges …
Thermals and beanies, gumboots, toasted sandwiches, soups, dark chocolate …
Milford Sound and Fiordland, Haast Pass and the West Coast.
The forest floors in the South Island are something else. 😍
It’s been 4 years since my last trip to NZ, and I’d forgotten how vibrant and chaotic those beech forests can be!

It was a wonderful, clear autumn afternoon.
Mimi and Ash's wedding had a casual, relaxed feel, with so much love!
Their vow's were something special! It was an honor to be able to share in their special day.
And special to be able to there assisting Mitch.
