A 2 week Photography Road trip to the Ikara-Flinders Ranges and back. Camping at Wilpena Pound allows you to be close to the ‘action’. Stunning scenery almost everywhere you look. Abundant and unique wildlife. Along way to get there for me, but well worth it, covering around 4,000 klms with Betty the Blue Kia, and Tom the Cruiser!
I can see another visit to this special place coming up so I can soak in Spirit of Endurance.

What a fantastic 3 weeks of chasing the weather, the light, and at times our tails, to shoot Waratahs, Pandani, wildflowers amongst others. A few mountains, a sneaky east coast sunrise, crisscrossing Tassie a couple of times, covering around 5,000 klms with Betty the Blue Kia, and Tom the Cruiser!
Many wonderful drives across the midlands and highlands. Many 4am, 5am and today a 3am start. Several sessions ending an hour after sunset before making our way back to the comfort of Tom.

Thermals and beanies, gumboots, toasted sandwiches, soups, dark chocolate …
Milford Sound and Fiordland, Haast Pass and the West Coast.
The forest floors in the South Island are something else. 😍
It’s been 4 years since my last trip to NZ, and I’d forgotten how vibrant and chaotic those beech forests can be!

It was a wonderful, clear autumn afternoon.
Mimi and Ash's wedding had a casual, relaxed feel, with so much love!
Their vow's were something special! It was an honor to be able to share in their special day.
And special to be able to there assisting Mitch.
You know how there are some places you visit for the very first time, and there's just something about them.
Something that seems to reach inside you, into your inner self and says "Welcome, stay a while".
Sometimes it's just a calmness… a comforting feeling. Other times there's a sense of belonging mixed with high levels of anticipation and excitement.
